Go Hard or Go Home

[The Next Time Someone Says “Go Hard Or Go Home”…]

…call their bluff and go home.

Going hard isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Since when was the answer to burnout to throw MORE petrol on the fire?

Since when was the answer to feeling overwhelmed in the various areas of your life to add MORE stuff to you to-do list?

Since when was the answer to spinning too many plates to find MORE plates to spin?

You’ve been fed the idea that you’re not getting what you want because you’re not trying hard enough, that you’re not wanting ‘it’ badly enough or that you’re simply too lazy and that in order to be successful in life all you have to do is work harder and you’ll have it.

Spit that idea out!

It doesn’t serve you.

Physical labourers work hard, DAMNED hard, yet they’re not the highest paid people in the world are they?

Working harder at something that’s not working at all doesn’t make sense, does it?

Running faster in the wrong direction doesn’t either.

It’s those who work SMARTER rather than harder that make the biggest impact on their lives and the lives of others.

Going hard all the time isn’t smart…

…in fact it may be the ‘dumbest’ of all approaches you could ever take.

So next time someone tells you to go hard or go home, go home, put your feet up on the sofa and think about how you can do things smarter.

Truth, joy and love

P.S – There ARE times for going hard… do you REALLY know when those times are?

Hint: ‘All the time’ is PROBABLY not going to be the right answer 🙂
