[Dax’s Rumi Ramblings #10]

To get what you love, you must first be patient with what you hate.

~ Rumi

Which is to say, of course, that what is leading you to anger, frustration or unhappiness of any kind can’t be ‘chased away’, ‘swept under the carpet’ or ‘numbed’ out of your experience completely.

You need to be patient with ‘what ails you’, acknowledge it, name it and ask of it “why are you here? What are you REALLY trying to teach me? How are you trying to help me?”

There are no negative emotions.

Only messages you don’t fully understand…

…or those that you DO yet chose to ignore.

Truth, joy and love
