[Dax’s 100 TED Talks #21 – Julia Bacha: How women wage conflict without violence]

As part of my MAGIC Hundred education and growth goals I’m watching 100 TED talks by December 31st as a means to expose myself to new ideas and perspectives and expand my thinking.

Today I watched this really interesting presentation by Julia Bacha on the role women play in conflict and why these roles are vital to shaping not only the nature of the conflict itself but also conflict resolution.

Bacha shares some really interesting perspectives throughout her talk, but particularly fascinating (to me, at least) is the observation that whether a movement will be successful or not is determined by its ideology around the role of women in society.

Really enjoyed this talk… lots of food for thought.

Enjoy!

P.S – What thoughts or feelings did the presentation evoke in YOU?

What will you DO as a result of having watched it?

(Remember, information itself is not powerful, it’s what we DO with it that makes a difference)
