[Dax’s 100 TED Talks #1 – Dave Meslin – The Antidote To Apathy]

As part of my MAGIC Hundred education and growth goals I’m watching 100 TED talks by December 31st as a means to expose myself to new ideas and perspectives and expand my thinking.

Today I started with this great little presentation by Dave Meslin whose main premise is that apathy DOESN’T exist but rather, that we live in a world where the obstacles placed in front of our ability to take action makes it appear that we do.

Meslin believes (as do I) that people are smart, caring and amazing and that we need to stop making stories about them being stupid, apathetic and lazy if they are ever to realise that about themselves and act in accordance with that realisation.

It’s a great little 7-8 minute talk that’s well worth a watch.

Enjoy!

P.S – What thoughts or feelings did the presentation evoke in YOU?

What will you DO as a result of having watched it?

(Remember, information itself is not powerful, it’s what we DO with it that makes a difference)
